Flat Tops Wilderness Backpacking Adventure

Join us on a wilderness backpacking trip through some of the *most stunning* and remote wilderness areas in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

We will explore the steep volcanic cliffs, walk across the flat-topped mountains, and frolic among the wildflowers in The Flat Tops Wilderness in north-central Colorado.

Spend 5 days and 4 nights, "on-trail" cooking with propane stoves, navigating using a map and compass, and hiking up to 8 miles a day!

Throughout the week, be prepared to cover over 30 miles, traversing high mountain passes (up to 11,200 ft) and descending into picturesque valleys.

Each day we will hike as a group from campsite to campsite, enjoying the signs of spring along the way. Upon arriving at camp, we will cook meals in small groups, watch for shooting stars, and zip into our sleeping bags to stay warm in the cool alpine nights.

Difficulty

Above-average physical fitness is required to hike nearly 30 total miles and feel confident in the high-altitude environment of the Rocky Mountains reaching altitudes as high as 11,200 feet. Campers should be prepared to persevere through all types of weather conditions.

This trip can accommodate enthusiastic first-timers or those who have experience hiking, camping, and/or backpacking.
