At Fun Hog Adventures, our mission is to inspire and empower young people to connect with the natural world through outdoor adventure, while also instilling in them a deep respect and appreciation for the environment. 

We believe that experiencing the beauty and challenges of nature can be transformative and life-changing, and we strive to create safe, supportive, and unforgettable outdoor experiences that challenge our participants to grow, learn, and thrive.

We embrace the Fun Hog ethos, which emphasizes the pursuit of outdoor adventure and enjoyment, while also prioritizing environmental conservation and sustainability. Our trips are designed to be fun, exciting, and educational, and we encourage our participants to seek out new experiences, develop leadership skills, and foster a sense of teamwork and community.

We are committed to providing high-quality outdoor experiences that are safe, affordable, and accessible to all young people, regardless of their background or experience level. We believe that by sharing our passion for the outdoors and the Fun Hog ethos, we can help to create a more environmentally conscious and adventurous generation of young people!

In the beginning...

Fun Hog Adventures LLC, founded in 2022, is the passion project of Nichol Wolverton who has been on this path since first leading teen adventure trips in 2009. Nichol has spent 600+ hours leading teen adventure trips with a variety of camps and organizations (check out his bio). He's held a certification in CPR and a Wilderness First Responder Certification since 2009 and continues to lead adventure trips with Polaris Expeditionary Learning School where he teaches High School Math and Science.
